It will change. We don’t know in what direction nor does anyone else. If an investment professional tells you they know what the market is going to do next year, turn the other way and run for your life! A prudent investor will employ long-term strategies with a proven track record across complete market cycles. One of the greatest attributes of successful investing is discipline. The ability to survive the ups and downs of a complete market cycle while maintaining a long-term focus is the most important characteristic of a successful investor. What direction the stock market will move tomorrow is somewhat irrelevant. A better question would be… “Are you aware of and comfortable with the overall risk of your portfolio?”
